Notes from the Board Minutes Board Meeting January 12, 2012 Present: Chris Rowland, Craig Phillips, Brian Liechty, Pat Griffey, Lisa Andrae, Jaime Murphy, Sandra Dealy and Cheryl Farmer via conference call. Chris called meeting to order at 8:05 am. Treasurers Report: Craig shared we have 2727.48 in our account compared to last year at this time of 3332.00. Nothing at this point pending pay out. Secretary Report: Minutes were completed by Jaime Murphy for last meeting and approved via email after the October meeting. Membership Report: Membership no changes.  Be aware of the new State initiative for membership for 2012, should be out soon. Presidents Report: Chris stated that Charlie is on an extended vacation at this point and during this time we may need to fill the secretary position.  Jaime volunteered to take on the minutes and reporting function until a decision is made.  We will discuss at the next meeting.  All on the Board feel that Charlie's representation on the Board is valuable and want to have him pariticipate in the role he sees fit. Pat and Brian mentioned that our Board must meet the bylaw requirements which are approved by NAHU.  Currently, we have 9 members.  Chris mentioned getting Tony Nyers back involved. James Brogdon will be reached out to again for support with Media. March Meeting. Mike Nader will speak.  Tuesday, March 6th breakfast meeting at Allied Physicians.  Jaime received approval for the group to meet there, tours will be conducted before and after the meeting.  Jaime mentioned Memorial as a sponsor for the event.   Cheryl will send the save the date once Pat comes up a "catchy title" for the event.  1 hour CE will be submitted as well by Cheryl June meeting topic will be LTC. Pat will coordinated with Cindy. Day on the Hill will be attended by Chris, Brian and Craig Cap Conference will be attended by Pat.  Pat suggested this year we pay into the Education program this year.  Program requires 4 education pieces (CE) be offered per year, fee of $5 per member and one member goes free to Cap Con or $10 per member and two members may attend Cap Con free next year.  Unanimously approved that we will absorb the $5 fee per member and not ask membership. Jaime also mentioned the scholarships and additional support that we can offer membership next fall. In further discussion of pulling more members to the group, the website was discussed.  Pat and Sandra will reach out to their resources to discuss web domain and further expansion of web design and updating. Sandra will reach out to Mike Ripley and Pat will touch base with the Benefit Store to find pricing and additional details of how they could support. Follow up to come via email for this topic Cheryl mentioned filing our own ecard instead of paying the accounting firm to do so.  Craig will look into what we are currently paying for 2012 and our services.
